Price rise joy at last for Dairy Farmers of Britain members

Milk producers supplying Dairy Farmers of Britain will get 0.5p/litre extra for their milk this month (June).

The co-op was the last of the milk buyers to lift its prices. It said the rise was delayed because it wanted to wait until debt-restructuring  talks with its bankers had been concluded before finalising the amount.

Industry commentator Ian Potter said the hike was lower than frustrated DFB members would have been expecting and a further increase in July was needed.
