Respond to RPA Letter

FARMERS WHO rent extra land or share grazing – classified as a “subsidiary holding” – are being urged to respond to a letter from the Rural Payments Agency to avoid delays in payment of extensification premium, or final bovine scheme balance payments, due in spring 2005.

In some cases, shared grazing declared on an IACS form has been classified as a subsidiary holding when the claim has been cross-checked against BCMS records.

The inclusion of “extra” animals has made stocking density artificially high.
