Livestock 2012 will offer comprehensive technical, business and financial information for the entire UK ruminant sector. It provides a one-stop shop for dairy, beef and sheep farmers and pig and poultry producers.

What's on at Livestock 2012

National All Breeds Show

The National All Breeds Show  will see its return for a second year. Managed by Holstein UK and sponsored by Pfizer Animal Health.

New Smithfield

New Smithfield, in partnership with the Royal Smithfield Club (RSC) will feature practical demonstrations for beef and sheep farmers.

RABDF Business Debates

These debates will feature interactive seminars on farm business and management and advice on how to run your farm business for profit.

Foot Trimming Demonstations

Live demonstrations with commentary will offer tips on foot trimming and focus on the importance of keeping animals' feet in good shape.

Feed Science Forums

The Feed Science Seminars are designed to promote the latest technologies in feed science in the dairy, beef and sheep sectors.

Farm Health Planning Seminars

These seminars are designed to promote and give practical advice on positive health planning in the dairy, beef and sheep sectors.

    All tickets include VAT, car parking and Show Guide RABDF pays for all car parking as part of the tenancy.

    Members Tickets

    RABDF members free Livestock 2012 tickets will be automatically issued by post in July/August. Members do not need to apply for their allocation of free tickets. Members have the option to buy further tickets at a reduced rate.

Visitor Information

    Under 16's are admitted free of charge.

    No dogs will be permitted within the event area.

    No smoking will be permitted within exhibition buildings.

    A limited amount of mobility scooters will be available to hire on event days. Please contact Bartram's Mobility Equipment Hire on 01353 778756.

    Cash points will be available on site.

    Catering will be available at various locations throughout the site - please refer to the event guide.

    International Visitors

    International Visitors will need to collect their purchased tickets from the International Lounge at the show, located in the Atrium outside of Hall 19.

    If you are an international visitor, please purchase your tickets and then register as an International VIP.

How to get there

    Get here by Road:

    Travelling North on the M42, exit at Junction 6 and follow the signs to The NEC. Once on site, follow the signs for Livestock 2012 to the relevant car park.

    Travelling South on the M42, exit at Junction 6 and follow signs to The NEC. Once on site, follow the signs for Livestock 2012 relevant car park.

    Travelling South on the M6, exit at Junction 4 and follow signs to The NEC. Once on site, follow the signs for Livestock 2012 to the relevant car park.

    Travelling North on the M6, exit at Junction 4, keeping to the left and following signs to The NEC. Once on site, follow the signs for Livestock 2012 to the relevant car park.

    Get here by Rail:

    To travel by train to The NEC, your destination station is Birmingham International. Please check before setting out that your train stops at this station as some do not.

    On arrival at Birmingham International, take the bridgelink from the station to The NEC following the signs. The escalator or lift at the end of the bridgelink will take you down to the main Piazza. Follow the signs for Livestock 2012 (Halls 16-20).

    Get here by Air:

    A frequent SkyRail Transfer service runs between the Birmingham International Airport and Birmingham International Train Station. Follow the bridgelink and signs from the station to The NEC. The escalator or lift at the end of the bridgelink will take you down to the main Piazza. Follow the signs for Livestock 2012 (Halls 16-20).

    The main international airports all have excellent road and rail links to the region:-

    London Heathrow is 104 miles away

    Manchester Airport is 89 miles away

    London Gatwick is 140 miles away.
