Two new Farmers Weekly Academy modules on bovine viral diarrhoea (BVD) have been published, giving beef and dairy farmers advice on disease detection and control.

BVD is widespread in beef and dairy herds, with 65% of UK dairy herds believed to have been exposed to the disease.

In the first online course, John Fishwick from the Royal Veterinary College explains what BVD is and details the symptoms to look out for.

The second academy focuses on detection and control of the disease.

Both courses are free and if you complete each module you can gain two Basis CPD points.
