Lloyd to sell Mercedes-Benz Unimogs through ag-dealerships

Mercedes-Benz has confirmed its latest Unimog models will be sold through farm kit dealer Lloyd in northern England and southern Scotland.

The move represents an important step for Mercedes-Benz as it targets increased sales of the legendary off-roader, with Lloyd offering access to farmers through its branches in Alnwick, Bishop Auckland, Carlisle, Dumfries, Kelso, Newcastle Upon Tyne, and Penrith.

Several vehicles have been earmarked for demonstration purposes, with the first already on site and two more being assembled ready for delivery in February.

The range comprises two versions: an implement carrier with front, side and rear attachment points, and a base truck for a range of other bodies.

All Unimogs have four-wheel drive and there are two standard cab designs for implement carrier and truck versions, as well as a crew cab option.

Gross weights vary from 7.5t to 16t, and engine outputs from 156hp to 300hp.
