The Claas line-up has been further developed with the introduction of the Arion 500 four-cylinder and Arion 600 six-cylinder models a new four-post cab, fresh hood styling and more powerful Deere engines from 145-184hp that meet Euro Stage 3B / US Tier 4i emissions rules.
These Hexashift semi-powershift transmission models are being joined by CMatic variants with the new EQ200 two-range CVT of in-house design for operators wanting stepless drive. All other CVTs in the Claas range are from ZF.
The 215-264hp Axion 800 to Euro Stage 4 / US Tier 4 Final specification has FPT Industrial engines using selective catalytic reduction (SCR) for emissions compliance. There are semi-powershift and CVT versions.
But the four-model Axion 900 CMatic is CVT only, with power outputs from FPT engines of 320-410hp.
The Xerion range has been revamped with the 435hp Xerion 4000 replacing the 3800 to the same design as the more powerful 4500 and 5000 models. But uniquely it is available with a fixed cab over the engine – the S Trac configuration – for mounted equipment and fifth-wheel trailed machinery.
