BA to debate food production

SCIENTISTS will discuss food, its production and importance to health at the annual festival of the British Association this week.

They will look at how best to inform the public about food issues, including genetic modification.

A meeting of the Boyd group at the festival will debate whether ethical review committees should be set up at annual research institutions. It will also discuss ways of reducing animal suffering.
