Brazilian forest fire barbeques 12,000 cattle

ABOUT 12,000 cattle have been killed in fires raging out of control across a vast area of Brazilian rainforest. Much of the rainforest is suffering from drought. But the fires are being blamed on “slash-and-burn” farming techniques which involve burning vegetation to clear ground for cultivation.
