Causes of the crisis in livestock farming

Causes:

  1. Wrong political party in power – theyre urbanites;
  2. Vegetarianism on the increase due to adverse publicity – BSE, antibiotics, welfare issues and propaganda.

Solutions:

  1. Publicity extolling the benefits of eating meat;
  2. Comparing our welfare to that in other countries;
  3. Finding out why there is such a differential between prices at farm gate
    and prices in the shops.

To help livestock farmers survive we need a proactive group to fight on
our behalf – not necessarily farmers, but possibly an advertising agency
whose sole aim in life is to sell a product to the general public.

Any ideas on how to finance it before it is too late?
