Dutch keep up brown rot work

TESTING of Dutch potato seed to ensure it is brown rot free is to continue, despite an EU directive which relaxes the rules on testing from next month, says the NFU.

"This is very welcome news for our potato growers, who were understandably worried that their crop could be at risk," says NFU president, Ben Gill.

This season 26,500t of seed potatoes were imported from the Netherlands.
