Heat and power from wood and crops


A SUCCESSFUL renewable energy company operating in Scotland is examined in the agricultural section of The Herald today (Monday).

The Borders Biofuels company creates commercially viable heat and power-generating plants in rural areas, fuelled by non-food crops and forestry residues.

The company is developing eight licensed projects in partnership with a number of major UK and European utilities, financial institutions, engineering and timber companies.
