Horticulture growth continues
UK HORTICULTURE has turned into an industry worth 640 million, with a turnover which has grown 40% in the past decade, according to a report by the National Farmers Union (NFU).
The report also warns that the sector is vulnerable to the governments proposed energy tax, the climate change levy, due to the bulk growing of plants in heated greenhouses.
