Hunting ban on the back burner until Lords are reformed

THE Government is to postpone any attempts to ban hunting until after reform of the House of Lords.

Government ministers are said to be fearful that any attempt to ban hunting would result in some peers sabotaging Lords reform.

The Independent reports the Governments apparent position from a letter which was sent by Tony Blairs agent to a constituent about the issue.
