Jail and lifetime ban

DAVID Watkiss, founder of the Rare Breeds Animal Conservation Trust in Bucks, has been jailed for three months after being found guilty of 41 charges relating mainly to starving pigs and failing to dispose of carcasses.

He was also banned for life from keeping any animals in a case brought by the RSPCA. Immediately after the hearing at Amersham Magistrates Court, Mr Watkiss said he would appeal against the sentence and conviction. &#42
