Luxury wellies for heatwave or freeze

WELLINGTON boots are known as much for keeping the cold and the heat in as they are for keeping the wet out, a problem Dunlop says it has the answer to in its Wildlife Leisure range.

Made of a rural green Hevea polyurethane foam compound, the boots are insulated down to a quoted -20C (-4F) for winter wear, yet, says Dunlop, are cool to wear in the summer.

Walking comfort is said to come from a thick, shock-absorbing sole and the boots are not so tiring on the legs, as they are 1kg lighter than PVC or rubber boots.

A deluxe style sports a leather-effect inset lace up top. Both it and the standard version come with a pair of boot socks, extra washable in-sole and a cleaning brush.

Size range is 38-47 with retail prices (inc VAT) of £49.95, deluxe £69.96 (01515-251691).
