Food consumed within the EU continues to be largely free of pesticide residue and poses little risk to consumers, data has revealed. The latest monitoring report by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published this week but conducted in 2015, shows that more than 97% of the samples analysed fell within the residue limits permitted by EU legislation.
