Malaysia kills 300,000 pigs
MALAYSIAN soldiers began shooting 300,000 pigs over the weekend in an attempt to control a virus that has already killed 50 people.
Japanese encephalitis, which attacks the brain, causing high fever, vomiting and fever, is transmitted from pigs to humans by the Culex mosquitoes.
