A tractor, dozens of birds, a tool box and a generator were stolen from a farm in Dorset by a thief who smashed through a padlocked gate.

The incident occurred on Saturday 10 February between 11am and 8pm at a farm in Sandford Orcas, near Sherborne.

Police said the stolen grey Massey Ferguson tractor was driven straight through a padlocked wooden gate and the vehicle tracks showed it continued along a lane heading towards Marston Magna Road.
