NFUmarketing focus

OVER the coming months, the NFU will hold 36 focus group discussions around the country to highlight the benefits of collaborative marketing and to identify any barriers to producer involvement.

According to junior farm minister Jeff Rooker, in a parliamentary written answer, key issues identified will then, if appropriate, be addressed through MAFF seminars.

"There will also be a number of open days at successful farmer controlled businesses next spring. We aim to report progress at next years Royal Show," he said.

Mr Rookers comments followed the launch at Smithfield Show of an NFU/MAFF initiative to stimulate interest in collaborative marketing.
