Portadown tups

TUPS hit 2700gns and ewes 1000gns at the official Northern Ireland sale of Texel sheep at Portadown.

Top tup price came for a ram lamb from the Cluntagh flock of Frank and Avril Morrison, Co Down. Their mid-January born son of Lockerbie Buster boosted the flocks average to 651gns for seven head.

Champion was a shearling by Haddo Busby from &#42 and R Wilson, Co Antrim. It made 1700gns.

Standing reserve under judge John Morris from Anglesey was a shearling ewe by Seneiri Akabian from the Balligan flock of R and S Chesney, Co Down. She realised 1000gns. (Automart.) &#42
