Quad bike warning after child dies

PROPER training of the driver and a crash helmet could have saved the life of a five-year-old boy who died on quad bike ridden by his father, an inquest was told yesterday.

Sam Gregg was sitting on his fathers lap when the four-wheeled motorcycle flipped over as it climbed a hill on the familys 62.3ha (154 acre) farm near St Mellion in Cornwall.

The boy died in hospital from head injuries and a broken neck shortly after the accident.
