Sugar drops to new world lows
BURGEONING exports from Brazil and weak demand from Russia have put downward pressure on world sugar prices, reports the Financial Times.
White sugar dropped to a new low on the London market with the most actively traded August contract at $180.10 a tonne (£111.75/t) in late trading.
Raw sugar remained at its weakest for 12 years in New York.
