Three farms burgled amid spate of quad bike thefts
© Rex Three farms in the Louth area of Lincolnshire have been burgled on the same night, according to police.
Raiders broke into a farm at Gayton le Wold and stole a Honda 500cc quad bike, a Stihl chainsaw, a combi extension tube a pole pruner, a hedge trimmer, hand drill, a blue trolley jack and a MIG welder.
Offenders also targeted a second farm at Girsby, near Burgh on Bain. A red Honda quad bike was stolen as well as a Brenderup trailer.

A third farm at Burgh on Bain was also targeted on Friday 6 March. Thieves broke into a farm building and stole two spades.
The raids follow a spate of thefts of quad bikes in the surrounding area in recent weeks.
Police revealed that a quad bike stolen from the Manchester area earlier this year was recovered in Louth at the end of February. Inquiries are continuing into how the bike ended up in Lincolnshire.
Three quad bikes were stolen from farms in the Selby area of north Yorkshire last month.
Similar quad bike thefts have also taken place in other rural areas of north Yorkshire, including Kirkbymoorside and Whitby, over the same period.
