Yorks venture can boost vegetables

YORKS vegetable growers are set for a boost thanks to a new venture between CWS Broadoak, the business arm of CWS Farms, and farmer co-op Old Leake Growers Association.

The partnership, benefitting from CWSs production expertise and Olgas marketing operation, will provide fully traceable, quality-controlled produce grown according to the groups existing environmental policies, says CWS Broadoaks Malcolm McAllister. Organic produce may follow. Yorkshire Vegetables will be sold through Tesco and Co-op stores.
