Adam Henson launches new poultry feed

TV presenter and Cotswold farmer Adam Henson has launched a new range of poultry feed for domestic laying hens.
Mr Henson has created two products – Layers Pellets and Mixed Poultry Corn – in conjunction with feed specialist Dodson & Horrell.
The duo came up with the idea because they wanted to produce a feed that was able to give hens a healthy, balanced diet, as part of their “five a day”.
“As a farmer, with many breeds of poultry, I’ve always been keen to feed them on wheat from my own crop, but I also recognise the need for a balanced diet,” Mr Henson explained.
“Teaming up with Dodson & Horrell has produced a premium product that I’m genuinely proud to feed to my birds – as well as put my name on,” he added.
“Layers Pellets contain a blend of cereals, legumes, fruits, vegetables and herbs, which give your chickens the equivalent of their five-a-day and provides natural caratenoids and other plant colour to enhance the rich, natural yellow of your yolks,” a spokesperson from Dodson and Horrell said.
The products are designed to be used together, with the Mixed Poultry Corn encouraging hens to peck and scratch for food.
The new range is available in 12.5kg bags at all major feed retailers throughout the country.
