Star swaps Chardonnay for milk

GARY LUCY a star of the television programme ‘Footballers‘ Wives‘ is the latest face to front Scotland‘s White Stuff milk moustache campaign.

“It‘s a great campaign and there is an important message we need to get across so I am just pleased that I can help out,” said Mr Lucy.

“It is important that young people take care of themselves and have a balanced diet. Milk is a vital source of calcium and vitamins.”

The billboard adverts running in Scotland have so far featured boy band Blue, girl band Atomic Kitten and Formula 1 star David Coulthard.

Sandy Wilkie, chairman of the Scottish Dairy Marketing Company, said teenage girls and young mothers were being targeted so it was important to have someone like Gary involved.

The material displayed on the billboards features the message that milk is 98% fat free but still packed with essential vitamins and minerals.

The campaign is being jointly funded by the Scottish Dairy Marketing Company and the Milk Development Council.
