Arable advice proves a success
A RECENTLY launched advice service aimed at arable farmers has already exceeded expectations, according to its providers.
The Arable GrowHow Advice Service from Kemira has so far provided crop nutrition advice on over 35,000ha across the country, GrowHow Advice manager, Clive Deeley explained.
The package allows growers to keep up-to-date with the latest regulations, as well as helping them get the best value from purchased fertilisers – both financially and environmentally, the company said.
It is built around the firm‘s EnCompass crop nutrition software, which calculates field specific Nitrogen and Sulphur recommendations, together with P and K balances.
The resulting field records can be used for Nitrate Vulnerable Zone compliance and farm assurance schemes, the company said.
