Barley quality OK so far in Norfolk

“We are lucky not to have had extremes in the weather up here,” said Geoff Hipperson on Melrose Farm in Norfolk.

Twenty-four hectares of Carat winter barley has “yielded well”, and the quality is “ok for feed barley”.

He hoped the yields would improve, but “so far [they] have been good”.

“The weather has not really had much of an effect for us so hopefully things will be good.”
