Biscaya approved for peas

Bayer CropScience’s insecticide Biscaya now has an approval for use on all pea crops.

The product offered better aphid control, the company’s Bill Lankford claimed. “In Bird’s Eye trials, that translated into 10% more yield when compared to spraying a pirimicarb-based product.”

The reason was Biscaya’s better persistence, he said. “There’s also been a great deal of interest in the product for pea midge control. The early trials results look very promising.”
