Claire performs well in Suffolk
Gerald Godfrey from Great Common Farm, Suffolk, said 52ha of winter wheat did well this year considering the drilling conditions last autumn.
The best crops did very well at 10t/ha, with most averaging 8.75t/h. He said these results were not excessive but was pleased, with Claire yielding particularly well.
Quality was very good, and he said it was a lot better than last year when most crops were green and laid.
Mr Godfrey plans to grow as many first wheats as possible next year.
