“Good harvest yields but it’s a shame about the price,” was the message from Andrew Symonds in Worcestershire. He was pleased with 140ha of winter wheat averaging 9t/ha, which is better than average, and all at 12-14% moisture.

Einstein yielded 9t/ha which he said was “quite good for us”, with one sample at 12.2% protein and 310 Hagberg.

Three hundred hectares of spring barley showed average results, with Optic yielding 6.5-7t/ha. Nitrogen averaged 1.6% and moisture was 13%.
