CHANGES TO methiocarb slug pellet labels will give potato growers greater flexibility of use this season, according to Bayer CropScience.

Growers can now split the total dose over an unlimited number of applications up to new maximum dose recommendations.

For 3% methiocarb New Draza and Wetex pellets (Exit Wetex, Huron, Karan, Rivet and Lupus) the new total dose recommendation is 15 kg/ha.

Decoy Wetex (2% methiocarb) has a new maximum dose of 22.5kg/ha.

Individual dose rates should be kept high, at 5 kg/ha and 7.5 kg/ha respectively, where pest pressure is high, said Bayer.
