The UK’s second-largest horse feed manufacturer, FH Nash, has bought the John Loader (Wessex) business from Openfield

Hampshire’s John Loader markets a range of brands, including Badminton Horse Feeds.

Openfield said it had been searching for a new owner for some time as the horse feed business was outside its core commercial activity of grain marketing and seed and fertiliser supply.

FH Nash, which is based in Braintree, Essex, intends to run the business as a going concern.
