Colchester-based Cautrac – UK importer of the Morooka range of tracked crawlers – has developed a novel parsnip harvester in conjunction with Jones Engineering.

Jones makes specialist vegetable machinery and was looking for a suitable vehicle to pair with its parsnip harvesters.

The marriage of the two pieces of equipment has allowed the machine to achieve workrates of 6t/hour compared with the previous manual system which meant it took up to 40 minutes to harvest a tonne.
