A farmer in east Yorkshire is having a challenging potato harvest due to wet weather conditions, as you can see from the pictures below.

This particular trailer load of potatoes slid across the road on mud ending up on a verge and blocking the road.

The trailer then got stuck in a very soft stubble field, and had to be abandoned overnight after hours of trying to pull it out.

Eventually a recovery company’s help was required, and after two more hours and a road closure the 14 tonnes of potatoes were finally freed.
