Pictures: Are you censoring out the worst of harvest?

The Harvest Highlights Gallery has grown to nearly 1400 images, but the bulk of the images perhaps don’t reflect the terrible time that many growers are having.

Farmers in Scotland, Ireland, the north and west of England are dealing with torrential rain which has left combines at a standstill and tempers fraying.

This picture from James Drury from Spott Farm in Fife is positive in that the combine is moving – yet there is a sense of desparation with his title: “Wheat Harvest at last in Scotland!”

This shot from North Light also shows the combine waiting for the rain to stop in Brims, Caithness, Scotland.
