PICTURES: Harvest Highlights gallery grows – but is the rain being censored out?

The Harvest Highlights Picture Gallery now has more than 400 pictures in it and there’s a fantastic selection from across the country.
But it has occurred to us in recent days that we’re still getting pictures of combines moving – when the reality for many growers is very different.
So we are wondering – have you any pictures that reflect a wet or difficult harvest? If the combine isn’t moving, is the drier doing overtime?
You can either send your pictures to us here or upload them to the Harvest Highlights Gallery.
Here’s a couple of the pictures sent in today…
Rhys Hughes – Farm Manager for Langmead Farms sent in these shots of his combine drivers ‘Captain Steve’ and ‘Runner Bean’, flat out harvesting Solstice at Church Farm, Hunston West Sussex. Landmead Farms is running two New Holland 8070’s (24ft headers) this year on its West Sussex Farms and one 8080 (30ft header) on its North Kent Farms.
David Nott of Gorstill Farm took this shot while harvesting Gerald winter oats in between the showers. David’s father, John Nott was driving the combine (New Holland TX62).
