Plinth options expanded

USERS OF residual grass weed herbicide Plinth (pendimethalin), now have further tank mix options.

Interfarm (UK) has agreed Plinth can be mixed with Bayer‘s Atlantis (mesosulfuron-methyl + iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium), and DuPont UK‘s Lexus (flupyrsulfuron) herbicides.

“With protracted germination of blackgrass expected this year plus the widespread incidence of grass weed resistance, it is important to mix post-emergence herbicides with a residual with a different mode of action,” said Interfarm‘s Dr David Stormonth.

Plinth can be used pre or post-emergence at rates of 4 litres/ha where blackgrass is a major concern or 1.5-3 litres/ha for non-blackgrass situations, he recommended.
