Roundup approvals for post-planting potato weed control

Three Roundup glyphosate formulations have been granted approval for use in potatoes post-planting, pre-crop emergence to tackle transplanted weeds or early emerging annual weeds.
The approvals for Roundup Ace, Energy and Klik will help growers finding grassweed control in particular, increasingly difficult since last year’s paraquat withdrawal, says Monsanto’s Manda Sansom.
Monsanto suggests a tank mix with up to 0.33 litres/ha of Shark (carfentrazone-ethyl) to increase speed of action.
