Eastern counties buying group Saturn Agriculture has been joined by Lincs co-operative Woldmarsh Producers.

Saturn, which was formed in 2000 from four East Anglian farming groups, will now negotiate on behalf of Atlas Agriculture, Dengie Crops and Framlingham Farmers.

Saturn’s chairman Robert Rous said the additional volume brought by Woldmarsh Producers’ 750 members would help secure further benefits for farmers.

Saturn now represents more than 1800 producers and buys 250,000t of fertiliser and £40m of agrochemicals.
