Stop-start for Yorkshire farmer

Caley Sackur from Driffield, Yorkshire, said harvest is going well, but rain is causing things to be very stop – start.

He said 120ha of Malacca and Einstein has been yielding well at 10t/ha, although this is slightly down on last year. He is relatively pleased with yields, and quality has been good with Hagbergs over 250, and 13 – 13.5% protein.

Mr Sackur said if there are any more showers then Hagbergs are likely to drop, but at the moment things are alright.
