Robert Naylor from Stamford, Lincolnshire, said harvest progress is ahead of last year with only a few of his 180ha remaining.

He is very pleased with Einstein, although says yields have been variable.

Yields were very pleasing on some land and disappointing elsewhere, although he expects the average to be good.

Crops have been good quality before the recent rain, but he is concerned for the quality of those remaining.

Mr Naylor said that despite being ahead of last year at present, heavy showers mean combining is very stop-start.
