VIDEO: Attention turns to the 2013 wheat harvest

The bank holiday weekend saw a flurry of harvest action, with wheat now the main focus.
About 60% of the crop area in the south has been cut, with the majority of winter barley already in the shed. Growers are now focusing on the spring barley and winter wheat.
In the North growers are a bit further behind but a spell of good weather has given the opportunity to go into the wheat with reports suggesting a mixed bag so far.
In oilseed rape many growers are experiencing a farming first as they combine and drill their OSR at the same time. Yields remain poor however, there have been some positive reports on oil content.
