Wheat going well in Glocs

Ian Branstone finished cutting 60ha of Solstice winter wheat yesterday (August 11) in Bourton-on-Water, Glocs.

He was pleased with the crop all coming in dry with good quality. It yielded 10t/ha on the good fields with 7.5t/ha on the mediocre fields, he said.

Mr Branstone was very pleased with these yields as they were slightly up on last year. He said he had now run out of storage, but harvest was going really well at the moment.
