Arla’s autumn milk incentive scheme will go ahead

Arla Foods Milk Partnership has confirmed that it will again run its incentive scheme to encourage members to increase milk output during the autumn trough.

During September, October and November members will receive an extra 5p/litre for any additional litres of milk supplied, compared with the actual volume supplied during the same month in 2008.

“The 2008 scheme proved successful with one third of the membership receiving a trough incentive payment,” Partnership chairman, Jonathan Ovens said.

“I am pleased that we have confirmed to members that the scheme will run again in 2009 and, hopefully, with additional further notice given this year, members will be able to plan ahead more effectively to fully maximise the benefit.”
