BBC 2 programme seeks family successors

Do you have a successor for your business?

That’s the question a new BBC 2 programme is seeking to answer in a new series called Keep it in the family.

“Family business, once the staple of British industry, is disappearing,” the programme maker says. “Each year around 30,000 close their doors for the last time simply because they cannot find a suitable successor.

Keep it in the Family is looking for family-run businesses facing the dilemma of who will take over the reins.

“We are looking for any kind of family businesses but feel that the farming sector is a very common and interesting example of this problem.”

So do you have a business that has been in the family for generations?

Have blood, sweat and tears been shed to build your business but now the next generation are reluctant to carry on the tradition and the responsibility it brings?
