Dairies encouraged to break into overseas markets

Dairy companies have been offered help to break into new overseas market.

Dairy UK has launched an initiative to encourage companies to exploit new markets and create networking opportunities.

Jim Begg, director general of Dairy UK, said there was growing realisation of the importance of developing overseas markets for British dairy products and on thinking internationally in mapping out future business strategies.

“Expoliting new markets is essential to aid profits in partnership with farmers, particularly at times of market pressure as now,” he said.

Mr Begg said British dairies should become more involved with Food From Britain, the organisation dedicated to helping UK food and drink companies grow their business nationally and internationally.
