Diverse portfolio of West Sussex land launched
David Cross of Savills’ Salisbury office is handling the sale of a diverse portfolio of land and property in West Sussex.
Mr Cross said the 380-acre Parham Portfolio, which is the residue of the once much-larger Parham Estate, was being sold by a Jersey-based trust that had decided to take advantage of buoyant prices to sell what remained of its holding.
He said the sale was split into three main parcels at Storrington, Cootham and Rackham, about 15 miles from Horsham. These had been subdivided into a further 21 lots. “It represents opportunities in the residential, development and agricultural sectors. There is something for everyone.”
The portfolio includes two Grade II listed house, two barns with consent for residential conversion and three cottages. The freehold of 77-acre Parham Airfield, which is used by a gliding club, is also available.
Local farmers could be interested in the plots arable and pastureland, which vary from about five acres to 50 acres, said Mr Cross. The total guide is £4.5m and the land is priced from £3500 to £5000/acre.
