Handley bullish on Dairy UK

Mr Handley believes Dairy UK will not put one half penny in the pockets of producers. “The only viable option is a National Milk Agency.

The Milk Development Council has done the figures and it stacks up,” says Mr Handley.

He will call for greater co-operation between producers to secure a future for the next generation.

“There is a strong and determined group of young people committed to a future in dairy farming.

“We owe it to them to cut out the industry’s deadwood and create a firm foundation.

“We are working now for the 20 and 30-year-olds not the 50-year-olds. They have an entitlement and we must deliver it,” he says.
