JSR acquires Isuria to extend feed activities
© Tim Scrivener Yorkshire-based farming enterprise JSR Group has acquired local animal feed business and hauliers, Isuria.
JSR operates as a diversified mixed-farming business spanning more than 3,000ha in East Yorkshire, and intends for the recent acquisition to help strengthen its existing feed enterprise.
Isuria, formerly known as Yorkshire Feedstuffs, specialises in commodity trading, livestock feed, haulage, customs clearance and IT solutions.

Business operations will continue with all 32 Isuria employees being transferred across to JSR.
Bernard Hoggarth, chairman of JSR Farming Group, said:
“We’ve known the team at Isuria for many years and have always respected the way they do business.
“Their knowledge of trading, specialist feeds and logistics really complements what we’re already doing at JSR.
“This feels like a natural fit for both sides – two family-run businesses coming together with shared values and a common goal to grow and be the industry leaders with service and price.”
Gina Brown, founder and managing director of Isuria, added:
“Becoming part of JSR allows us to continue delivering the same high standards while benefiting from the scale, investment and long-term vision of a larger group.
“It’s a great opportunity for our people and our customers.”
